Viking Heating & Air – Beat The Bill Rules

Sponsor/Administrator: Viking Heating & Air; 1003 Main St. Miamisburg, Ohio 45342; 937-847-8176,
Eligibility: Open to legal residents of Ohio, age 18+. Must have a current gas or electric utility account for residential service at an Ohio service address. Excludes Sponsor’s employees, owners, officers, directors, agents, and advertising/promotion agencies involved with the Sweepstakes, and immediate family/household members.
Bill Eligibility: Submitted utility bill (gas or electric) must be a valid invoice due within the year 2026, starting Jan 1 in order to win the sweepstakes. Invoices due in previous years are not valid will not be accepted.
Entry period: Begins 04/01/26/12:00AM ET and ends 04/30/26/11:59PM.
How to enter (free): Entrants submit one entry through online form. Limit [1] entry per person during the entry period. Entries must include: name, city, ZIP, phone and/or email and all form fields required.
Drawing: Random drawing on 05/01/26 at 1003 Main St. Miamisburg, Ohio 45342. Drawing conducted by Viking Heating & Air; decisions are final.
Prize: One prize: payment toward winner’s gas or electric utility bill, up to $500 total. “Prize” can include a service or other thing of value.
If the verified amount due is less than $500, Sponsor pays only that amount. If more than $500, Sponsor pays $500 and winner is responsible for the remainder. Prize is non-transferable and no substitution except Sponsor may substitute equal/greater value if necessary.
Winner notification: Winner contacted via email/phone within 2 days after drawing. If winner cannot be reached, fails to respond within 5 days after notification, or fails verification, winner may be disqualified and an alternate winner drawn.
Verification/claim requirements and deadline: Winner must (a) confirm age and Ohio residency and (b) provide a current utility bill at current address and any additional verification requested within 5 days. Utility bills commonly display customer name, service/billing address, and account number. The winner must present the utility bill in person at Viking Heating & Air; 1003 Main St. Miamisburg, Ohio 45342.
Prize fulfillment method: Viking Heat & Air will either:
Pay the utility provider directly, using the minimum account/payment information necessary; or Reimburse the winner after proof of payment (e.g., receipt) up to $500.
Taxes: Winner is responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes. IRS guidance treats prizes as includible in income (including goods/services at FMV). Viking Heating & Air will issue any required tax forms (e.g., Form 1099-MISC if reporting thresholds are met in the course of business).
Publicity: Winner may be asked to consent to use of name, city, photo, and/or likeness for publicity without additional compensation unless winner opts out.
Privacy: If Viking Heat & Air collects personal information to administer the Sweepstakes and fulfill the prize, we will limit collection and retention to legitimate business needs, and will safeguard the information. Data minimization/retention and secure disposal are core FTC recommendations.
Disputes/governing law: Governed by Ohio law. Any disputes to be brought in state or federal courts located in Montgomery County, Ohio, and entrants consent to jurisdiction/venue there.
